We're looking for skilled and reliable operators to drive compactor trucks and sweeper trucks during overnight shifts.
🔹 About the Role:
As a Driver Operator, you'll be responsible for operating specialist vehicles to keep our streets and public spaces tidy. You’ll work independently or as part of a small team, covering key routes across Wellington.
Shift Options:
- Tuesday to Saturday – 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM
- Friday to Tuesday – 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM
🔹 What You'll Be Doing:
- Driving and operating compactor trucks and sweeper trucks
- Clearing rubbish, debris, and litter from streets and public areas
- Performing basic vehicle checks and reporting maintenance needs
- Following safety and traffic regulations at all times
🔹 What We’re Looking For:
- Full, clean Class 2/4 driver’s licence (required)
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically fit
- Experience operating compactor or sweeper trucks (preferred, but not essential – training can be provided)
- Able to work independently and in all weather conditions
