To keep this fleet moving safely, efficiently, and reliably, we operate a network of internal workshops nationwide. We are now seeking a strong, strategic leader to take charge of this critical function. If you have the experience, confidence, and drive to maximise fleet performance and lead maintenance excellence, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
The Role:
As our National Workshop Manager, you'll lead the operational performance of our workshops across NZ. This role requires a confident leader with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of fleet maintenance best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all workshop operations nationally, ensuring consistency and excellence in service delivery
- Implement proactive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend fleet life
- Develop and enforce compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Manage workshop budgets, cost controls, and resource planning
- Drive performance through coaching, development, and leadership of workshop teams
- Collaborate with procurement and fleet operations to ensure optimal asset utilisation
- Provide strategic input to fleet renewal, replacement, and lifecycle planning
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure and improve performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior workshop or fleet maintenance management role
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Deep understanding of heavy vehicle compliance and maintenance requirements
- Ability to manage across multiple sites and lead dispersed teams
- Commercially minded with a track record of delivering cost and performance improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
If you're a strong, confident leader ready to roll up your sleeves and take charge of one of the most critical parts of our business, we want to hear from you.
