We’re now looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead our Coatings Division at our Whangarei branch.
This is a pivotal leadership role managing one of our key clients while ensuring projects are delivered safely, to scope, on time, and on budget.
While we ideally seek someone based in Whangarei, we are open to candidates living outside the region who can commit to being onsite at least three days per week.
About the role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery across our coatings portfolio. You’ll be the primary relationship manager for one of our key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strong commercial performance.
You’ll lead a team of skilled specialists, coordinating people, resources, and timelines to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage one of our key client relationships, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction
Process and manage project claims accurately and efficiently
Oversee multiple coatings projects to ensure delivery within scope, deadline, and budget
Develop schedules and allocate resources effectively
Lead, mentor, and support a team of coatings specialists
Monitor financial performance including forecasting and cost control
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Identify and manage project risks
Provide clear reporting to senior management and stakeholders
What you will bring
Proven project management experience (coatings, construction, or industrial services preferred)
Strong commercial acumen, including budget and claims management
Excellent client relationship management skills
Demonstrated leadership capability
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Confident communication skills
Ability to balance field presence with strategic oversight
