We are looking for a reliable and skilled driver to operate specialist vehicles across the city during overnight shifts.
Shift Schedule:
Tuesday to Saturday – 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM
About the Role
As a Driver Operator, you will be responsible for operating compactor and sweeper trucks to keep streets and public spaces clean. You will work independently and as part of a small team, covering key routes throughout Wellington.
Key Responsibilities
Driving and operating compactor trucks and sweeper trucks
Clearing rubbish, debris, and litter from streets and public areas
Completing basic vehicle checks and reporting maintenance issues
Following all safety and traffic regulations
Working independently to complete scheduled routes
What We’re Looking For
Full, clean Class 2 or Class 4 driver’s licence (required)
Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically fit
Experience operating compactor or sweeper trucks (preferred, but not essential – training can be provided)
Ability to work independently and in all weather conditions
