We're looking for an experienced Blaster/Painter to join our skilled team in Christchurch working on industrial projects across a variety of sectors. If you take pride in quality workmanship and thrive in physically demanding environments, we want to hear from you.

What's the job?

InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial services, coatings, and infrastructure. You may not have heard of us, but we do a lot – and we've got aspirations to be number one in every area we deliver. That's where you come in, are you up for the challenge?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out surface preparation using blasting techniques and UHPWJ
  • Applying industrial protective coatings to high standards
  • Conducting inspections and quality checks using QA tools
  • Following health & safety protocols and ensuring site compliance

    The technical stuff you'll need includes:

  • Proven experience in blasting and painting, including surface prep and application of industrial coatings
  • Experience with UHPWJ (Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting)
  • Competency using QA equipment such as Positector and Elcometer
  • A good level of spoken English to communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
