We’re on the lookout for an experienced Supervisor to lead our team at the Ports of Auckland. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the frontline, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard—while also rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the work.
About the role:
As a Supervisor, you’ll lead crews delivering specialist services across the port, including Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water blasting and industrial cleaning on wharves, tanks, plant, and infrastructure. You’ll plan, coordinate, and actively participate in the work, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.
What you’ll be doing:
Supervising and working alongside crews on UHP water blasting and industrial cleaning jobs
Carrying out hands-on work across wharves, tanks, and port infrastructure
Planning and coordinating daily tasks, resources, and equipment
Ensuring all work meets strict safety, environmental, and quality standards
Managing confined space, high-risk, and permit-required work
Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders on-site
Leading by example with a strong safety-first mindset
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within industrial services, coatings, or infrastructure
Hands-on experience with UHP water blasting and/or industrial cleaning
Strong leadership and communication skills
Solid understanding of health & safety systems and high-risk work environments
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Full NZ driver’s licence
