SOIL TRANSFER OPERATOR – WELLINGTON

Vac-U-Digga is looking for a reliable Soil Transfer Operator to join our Wellington team.
You'll be working at our soil transfer operation, helping receive, handle, process and move excavated soil and other materials. It's a hands-on role involving machinery operation, general yard duties and keeping the site running smoothly.
You don't need to be a highly experienced operator. We're looking for someone practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in, with training provided for the right person.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Receiving and handling incoming soil and materials
Loading, moving and transferring materials around the site
*Operating site equipment and machinery as required
*Assisting with soil processing and transfer activities
*Keeping the yard, work areas and equipment clean and tidy
*Completing basic equipment checks and general maintenance
*Following site procedures and health and safety requirements
*Working alongside the wider team to keep operations running smoothly
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
Experience operating machinery or equipment is an advantage, but not essential
*Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, manual work
*Comfortable working around soil, mud and waste materials
*Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
*Good awareness of health and safety
*Any relevant licences or tickets are an advantage
