Graffiti Removal Technician / Industrial Painter – Wellington

InterGroup is looking for an experienced Graffiti Removal Technician / Industrial Painter to join our Wellington team.
This is a unique split role combining the day-to-day delivery of our graffiti removal contract with industrial painting and protective coatings work across the region. About the Role
The primary focus of this role is delivering our graffiti removal contract throughout Wellington. You'll respond to service requests, proactively inspect designated areas, remove graffiti using the appropriate methods and products, and ensure every job is completed to a high standard.
When graffiti removal work is quieter, you'll support our Coatings team delivering industrial painting and protective coating projects. On larger projects, you'll also provide on-site supervision and coordinate additional team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This is a role with plenty of autonomy, requiring someone who can manage their own workload while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and consistently delivering quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to graffiti removal requests across the Wellington region
Proactively monitor contract areas and identify graffiti requiring removal
Select the appropriate removal methods, equipment, and chemicals for each surface
Complete colour matching and repaint affected surfaces where required
Manage jobs from start to finish using the company job management system
Deliver industrial painting and protective coating projects as required
Supervise additional team members on larger coating projects
Maintain equipment, vehicles, and materials to a high standard
Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
About You
You'll bring:
Experience in graffiti removal, industrial painting, or protective coatings
Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint systems, and application techniques
Excellent colour matching skills and attention to detail
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Experience supervising small teams or coordinating site activities is advantageous
Good communication and customer service skills
A strong commitment to health and safety
A full New Zealand driver's licence
The following would be advantageous:
Experience with protective coating systems
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification
Working at Heights qualifications
